Cossie running hotter than i'd like, possible issues?
When i say hotter than I'd like, i mean it's not overheating but it seems to be nearly at that point when i'm sitting in traffic for 10 mins. I basically have to run the car with the interor fan on all the time at alteast setting 2 or more.
The engine has been rebuilt and has only done 750 miles or so, it's got new oil in it, and coolant obviously, as well as a new alloy radiator.
It never used to run this hot before, so i'm thinking there is an issue somewhere, for the record it has new sensors all round including CTS and the one for the dash, as well as an secs monitor so i can see the digital readout from the CTS to the ECU.
I was going to start by replacing the stat with an 82 degrees one, and take it from there, is there anything you can suggest I need to check while I'm at it.
Oh and importantly it isn't usning oil or water or mixing the two so I presume the head gasket is ok. I have another cossie, and know alot of other people who have cossies, it's not just a case of the gauge reading, it IS running hot compared to the others.
