We left a deposit as we knew where he lived, it seemed like there was plenty of money about. The car had loads of history, was HPI clear and he didn't have the V5 as he was getting the private plate taken off. That all seemed to stack up nicely.

Felt fine at the time. It was after handing over the deposit I started asking some more questions out of interest. All the weird stories started happening after we called back after leaving and just asked to clarify around the V5. From there it all turned into an Poirot moment!!!
