I have got a gs 220 da polisher about a year ago.i have polished two cars and waxed about three but after seeing an online video on how to use it i am wondering if mine is faulty or im using it incorrectly.
If i have it on low wax speed (1 to 3) i can stop the wheel spinning easily by hand but it still moves side to side.if i am polishing/compounding to remove scratches/swirls the weight of the machine stops the circular movement completely on the car.this cant be right as surely its this rotary action that removes swirls.
i am not leaning on the machine and rotary action only returns when i lift the machine off the paint.
