Default CVH EFi boost problem

Got a bit of a problem with my OFAC EFi Mk3 cabby - hopefully someone has the answer

It's running OFAC management, with a 165bhp superchip. Recently the car doesn't seem to be as quick as it was - I connected a boost gauge and it was only running 7 PSI - where as with the chip it should be running 12.

The amal valve is still connected - but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. It makes no difference whether it is plugged in or not - the boost is the same. Its defintely working OK because I connected a fault code reader - got no errors and the valve clicked when the ECU tested it.

The car is no quicker with the chip in or out. However with the chip plugged in if I remove the pipe from the turbo to the AMAL valve and carefully test it it will boost over 7 psi without hitting the standard boost limiter - so presumably the chip must have raised the limit as it should.

Is a superchip supposed to run an amal valve at all? It used to be OK so I assume it can. I could bypass the amal valve altogether and set the boost on the actuator but do not want to risk this if there is a problem elsewhere. It seems that the amal valve is permenantly shut so I am just getting the actuators default boost setting.

Incidentally - the amal valve is not blocked - I have tested it.

Does anyoe have any idea what might be wrong with this?

Cheers
Mark
