Looks more like 1/2 a tooth in your pictures, I think you will find that when the crank is at TDC and the phase sensor is aligned correctly that the cams wont line up because the head has been skimmed. Therefore you end up with the cams 1/2 tooth out. This doesnt affect idle quality at all.

My ALS doesnt affect idle quality at all.
