On behalf of Mr C;
Gone to change cam pulleys, lined up cam pulleys and crank so they are timed, gone to check dizzy timing and found it to be out equivalent to one tooth on pulley.
Running msd coil pack conversion so dizzy is redundant to spark, but i believe still retains a timing input of sorts for the timing. I have noticed on idle the power sometimes struggles to keep a a smooth idle i put this down to modified std ISCV or MSD-ALS!?
Could this timing on dizzy cause the rough idle and should it be set up one tooth out, should this be changed to ensure all lined up? It has only been driven down the road briefly so no back to back tests.
Should everything be timed up straight? and how should it feel if one tooth out?
(PICS: When dizzy is lined up cams are one tooth out as shown. When cams lined up dizzy is out)
Thanks in advance
Andy
