If its the PD engine which i think it is you require 5/40 fully synthetic oil that matches vw specification.........some swear by genuine vw oil and some say other brands are fine

I personally bought the halfords brand oil as it matches the spec and never had an issue or used a single drop of oil in my bora.

i went to my nearest vw dealer for a price for 5 ltrs of pd oil and it was over £50 ........aye right the full genuine vag filter kit only cost that posted to me from newcastle dealership

popped to halfords and bought there brand for £35 but one brand ive always used for previous cars is comma and they do a specific PD oil for about £35 delivered via ebay or try your local motor factor

Some PD engines are on longife service plan which is every 20k for a service which i think is just wrong lol.... will tell you in the service history

Cambelt + waterpump should be changed around 60k
