I do car air con for a living, they are great in summer when it's hot and it actualy works, but fuel cons. goes down because of the belt driven compressor. The gas always fookin leaks out aswell and it's not cheap to replace or rectify.
It will probably add vaue to your car though if you were keeping it stanard, or mildly tuned.
