Your right it wont, but it will do it good by not breathing back into the metering unit, as oily air increases the chance of Det!

Yeah I think they jumping the gun a bit there, as long as it's not buckets of oil then your breathing heavy and thats a sign of piston ring wear!

Yes a catch tank would be better than it returning to metering unit, or to atmosphere (aka all over the road), but you shouldnt have enough to worry if it's a fresh engine.
Some is normal though so if it's not a lot I wouldnt worry.
