basically,you need 120 points to get in off your own back.once you go over 30 years old your lose 5 points.
you will only ever have more points than 120 if you speak another lanuge ( spl ) or your missus is in a job that they want also,this would make up the 5 points that you would lose by being over 30
now because of my age i was going in being sponsered by my brother,in which you dont need as many points ( 110 ) but because of my trade and so on,it meant i had 125 points.having this many points meant i could get in till i was 45 ( which is the max age they will let you in with a trade )
what they have stopped or made harder to do is geting in being sponsered because if you have a trade and so on you can get in till your 45.
basically they want people in under 30
