do you lot put an inline fuse on your 12V supply to your gauges, oil temp etc?

autometer doesnt mention it and neither do any other sites ive read, but im not sure (electrics aint really my thing!)
if you have, what size, 5amp?

reason i ask, is Mike Rainbirds ACT gauge says you MUST use a fuse....and my autometer electrical gauge says noofin?

anyone clarify?
