My ST TDCi made 160.2bhp & 300 ft.lb torque as standard a few weeks ago.

If you are planning to increase the power in the ST TDCi (even if your not aswell), get the Focus ST brakes. The standard ones are crap. Lots about this on STDrivers forum. All you would need is the front calipers, disks, pads and lines. They bolt straight on. Just upgrade the pads on the rear. Best place for the calipers is a scrappy or eBay. Their about £200 each new I think.

I get 35mpg approx around town doing short trips but used to get 47 - 49mpg on longer trips.

Insurance on the ST TDCi is suprisingly cheap. I had mine when I was still 22 with 4.5 years NCB (I changed cars half way throught the year).
