apparently there is a claws,if you send a cheque for £65 insted of £60 thay have to refund the extra £5.once thay have banked that cheque it reads on there comp its is all sorted but will not add on to your points untill you bank the £5 cheque,so if you just rip up that cheque you have paid but should have no point.this was what i was told by a friend who is a traffic cop,i cannot garantee but im sure it could be worth a go?????
