Correct in the pedal feel, but change to a better pad and you will feel a difference once its bed in
Oranoco - the top of the bin will be just as fine for the coloured stuff pads mentioned, In fact anywhere in the bin will do not just the bottom
240mm was the future Rick lol - and it used to give me the bruises on my shoulders after events to prove it
