you could go down the long route and remove the whole ABS unit. the belt is only about £10, but you need to remove the shield etc to fit it.
you cannot fail the mot for having a abs component missing it is just an advise

you can fail for abs lamp not coming on, abs lamp indicating a fault on the system or abs lamp does not follow correct sequence

so if your only bothered about passing the mot join the 2 wires that go to the belttension sensors so the light will function as normal
