yeah just been out and looked at mine and they are just like that when in direct sunlight, mine are nomad items too

the only slight downer is i think nomad actually stopped selling them due to the manufacturer making them with all the right hand units having no mounting bolts (i had to phone and have a set of the bolts sent out by nomad for rectification a while back)
