it depends on whether your gonna keep it as a std factory engine or your going to make modifications as the more power you push through the engine the more things that are prone to wear.

also being turbo charged forcing the power is also gonna be more risky then a n/a engine but alot more fun in my opinion.

as long as its regular serviced and you keep on top of things todays modern engines are meant to last a long amount of time.

all down to the maintenance and how you drive
