Yeh a few people have said to run both filters, and I know that overfiltering is a good thing.

I clean my filter about every 2-3 months at present, never had any issues since starting the tank. I do weekly 20%'ers tho.

I'm going to be running 2x150W heaters one each side the tank, but I didnt particularly want to run 2 filters. Thats the reason I bought the ex1200 (good for 500L tanks), so surely this is overfiltering by quite a bit on its own. Was going to keep the EX700 purely for a backup should the 1200 fail..

Thanks for the advice!!
