Hate to be a negative nancy and shit on your parade as a new rs owner. Glad to hear you got it sorted with the idle screw, however, I would check your oil pressure as well. Mine started doing the same thing, but after adjusting the screw for the third time I found out my big ends where on thier last legs cauing oil pressure to drop drasticly. Its just that you mentioned putting the clutch in when coming to a stop would cut off the engine.
Worth a look, better to be safe then sorry and all that.
