another restrictor trick ( ndont know if i should be telling this - is there any rac scrutineers on here ?)
is , for those who dont know , we have three cap headed bolts in a triangle formaition around the compressor inlet to hols the restrictor in , these have to be drilled and lockwired all together and then lock wired to the compressor , so they cant be undone , then a lead tag is fitted by an RAC official and the tag number noted on your rac log book, so how do you remove the restrictor bolts without breaking the lock wire ?
well you dont , whatyou do is , drill out the center of the bolts, tap them smaller and fit grub screws, so you fit your 3 bolts to the compressor and lock them off with nuts to the comp housing , then you screw in your grub screws enough to hold the restrictor in, after its been tested , small allen key past the lock wire, undo the grub screws and remove said restrictor , switch to full power map , and off you go 400hp and more torque to match !!
but shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i didnt say owt, and no i havnt got it done to mine
