A similar one was performed by the amazing legend "Smokey" Yunick, during his career as car/engine builder in the NASCAR-series. As they run great distances with the car, refueling is a common thing. What Yunick did was to fill the rollcage with fuel as well after weighing the car in before the race After this they have a maximum allowed fuel amount, which is checked prior to every race

Another cheat performed by smokey, the man that doubled the size of the rulebook concerning layout of NASCAR-vehicles. The cylinder heads of the GM-engines was not allowed to be modified in any way. Inspection of the ports were taking place before every race. Well, Smokey wanted better cylinder heads anyway. What he did was to create a device, which pushed a mixture of water and sand through the ports, and gradually made them more ideal for flow. At first he just used it lightly, but gradually more and more, until the referees caught up on him bigtime! After that, the cylinder heads were given from the NASCAR-organization before every race

And a third one. This one is just too much Weight is of the issue of every race car. Thats easily understandable. All the NASCAR-vehicles were based on the same cars. Certain parts were allowed to modify, others not. Smokey and his team had lighted the car as much as possible, pretty equal to the other teams cars. But as always, Smokey wanted more and better. Ok, this one is way bizarre. At one competition, when they weighed the car, smokeys cars were incredibly light compared to the others. They started to get suspicious as always, around Smokey, but didnt come up with ANYTHING. Then they measured the dimensions of the vehicle... It was 5cm shorter on all dimensions! Nowadays, every car is measured prior to competition.

A bit from Smokey Yunick, a true legend.

What if you used the hollow rollcage structure act as a canister to contain the compressed NOS gas? Well hidden and no extra weight. OK thats what I heard, but I'm sure its just an Urban Legend.
