Not a Ford related question, but I am interested in peoples view on this.

I have a Merc C32 AMG, and from the factory, she come equipped with Mobile 1 oil. Dont know the exact grade, but for the purposes of this question it is not relevant, as grade is matched.

I ttook her in for a service at main dealer, part of which (arguably all of which!!!!) comprised the replacement of the oil.

They have chosen to replace it with a Shell oil - Helix somethingorother.

Now - I know that the grade is the same, and that the oil is fully synth. BUT - you pay top money for service, and I must say, I can see no reason why the oil would be substituted from Mobile one other than for cost benefits (for them not me!!!)

Am I being just an oil snob?

Would you insist that it was replaced with the Mobile 1 that was recommended, or just lve with it?

Opinions on this please?
