Can anybody tell me if Cosworth fuel filters are ok to to have the fuel sucked through them by the fuel pump as apposesd to forced through from behind as per the standard set up in the car? Is this likely to cause airation?

This is for my RS Turbo track car running a standard lift pump twin filters, a 1.5ltr swirl pot and a 0.44 main pump.
