is the compresion to low
no, only lowered it to 7.9-1

Have you checked cold start injector is properly connected. IIRC their are several connectors that can be mixed up But yes timing can affect starting.
all connectors are in the correct places, I tried unplugging the cold start injector earlier but it made no difference at all ! Definately getting fuel up to it though cos we bled it.

I am pretty sure the cam timing is correct, if it wasnt the car wouldnt drive very well would it (car drives ok) What about the dizzy position, how could that effect starting ? I did notice earlier when driving home from work that I get a lot of 'pops & bangs' out of the exhaust So as Im getting fuel to the injectors Im thinking it could be the fuel ecu ?
