Theres lots of overtaking in the lower formula's because there all in the same car etc.
With f1 you qualify, and the fastest car sets of first, so chances are the car in 2nd 3rd 4th, will be slower the day after, so strategy comes into it. Unless the person in second makes a mistake on his qualifying lap.
