Best mod you could do is the Mk2 16v master cylinder and servo as the brakes are shite as standard
Just sold my Mk1 a few weeks ago

I've got rear discs and the brakes are ok but I've not used it hard yet
Feels great on the road and really fun. Just really need some strips for the sides
