I'm not going to be specific about my own remuneration on here for obvious reasons, but basically, yes, ime that kind of money is most certainly achieveable. Although I'm team leader, I'm still heavily involved in the technical side of things, so it can be challenging... but due to the nature of the business, downtime literally does cost money, and sometimes lots of it so the role can be pretty high pressure. I have no degree, and the only IT related qualifications that I have were done off my own back and have not directly affected my salary or position.
Principally Novell Netware/NDS/Zenworks related from when we were running that a few years back and I was involved in supporting the Vinca paired file servers we had, and also a CCSE which I took as a favour to a mate to help his company become a Checkpoint partner.
