I was putting the cabrio back in garage tonite the wife said you've got a headlamp out, sure enough the offside dip beam wasn't working, I switched ignition off with the lights still on and the everything stayed on ie engine heater dash lights although the battery light did come on so I switched ignition back on then turned lights off and then ignition off everything was normal

So next I check for power at the offside front headlamp, none

next with just the sidelights on and the ignition off I use my power probe to see if the o/s/f headlamp is ok, upon doing this the nearside headlamp came on and stayed on till I unplugged the bulb, upon reconnecing it it didn't light up till the lights were switched on again at the switch,

Switching the headlamps on again the o/s still didn't work, I tried it a few times.

I had a look in fuse box enplugged a grey relay and plugged it backin, checked the lights again, by this point I cant remember if they worked straight away, but they are working now and the ignition is normal again

Tried them a few times all seems good,

Any Ideas anybody?
