Last week the engine went in my sisters R reg 1.25 zetec fiesta (not a mechanic but someone looking at it said the big end had gone).

Now she has just purchased a brand new Focus and is only going to scrap the fiesta, however as I am trading in my car this year I would like a runaround and this car would be ideal.

I was wondering how easy it would be to replace the engine or if it would be worth it at all. If the cost is going to be more than the car than I won't do it, can't imagine the car is worth more than £800.

What would you do, scrap or replace, any ideas welcome!
