Have been offered a rear disc set up from an ST170,whole rear beam with all discs and callipers still on.I have a 52 plate 1.6 zetec.Just wondering if it's a straight swap over or a hassle to change.

YES , you could fit the whole beam but you only need the axles, hubs discs etc.
Undo the 4 bolts that hold the hub / axle to the blade/knuckle and transfer the whole assembly each side, also the brake pipes.
And you need the hand brake cable for a disc setup as well.
