ok so i have my lunch the drag all my tools out the garage to get on with trying to get this cunting van to start.

i pop the bonnet, look at the injector pipes and think "urgh FFS" then something catches my eye, the rod that runs between the metering head and the choke/throttle type valve on the intake is disconnected, not good i thought. connect it back up then look at the other end, choke/throttle/intake side, and the linkage is 1/2 hanging off, causing the valve to be stuck 100% shut i plonk it all back on properly, think hmmm lets try my luck....crank it over, fires first time

obviously knocked it off while i was throwing my toys out the pram fitting the new starter/battery

anyway its running sweet as a nut now without having touched the fuel system
