If you have a car parked on the road, but with a car cover on it........the police/Tax people are NOT allowed to move the cover.........so that if it is not taxed then they cant look under the cover to see

I beleive that is one of those weird things that is technically correct, but I also believe that the rules for the tax disk state it must be clearly visible, if it isnt clearly visible then the vehicle can be towed for not displaying a tax disk.
So while they might not be allowed to lift the cover and look, I believe they could legally tow the vehicle away, taxed or not!
