Default How to break into a series 1 RS??
Hi there, I registered on here when looking to buy a nice series 1 rs turbo and having made my purchase on a nice '86 plated restored RS 2 weeks ago now i have my first problem......


I knew my alternator belt wasnt the tightest and was going to change it this weekend.......TOO LATE....My battery has now gone totally dead, too dead to operate the remote central locking, and guess what....Thats right, shes totally de locked!!! even the boot...


Bugger....


My friend has what he describes as, "the same kit the AA use, with sliders and stuff", unfortunately neither of us know exactly how to use this bit of kit.


First question.


Does anyone have a step by step guide or even any diagrams of the door mechanism so we can bluff our way through it?

Is this the best way in to the car?

And
