Yep, it's quite doable, and with the RS2000 16v cams pretty nippy too apparently....
Hofajoab, you didn't say you were already running a turbo, advise the same as Jasesapphy in that case
The scorpio later on ran a 2.3 too if I'm not mistaken, not quite rocking horse shit but rare enough, also ran a detuned 2.0 16v lump in RWD format, quite useful for bottom end all ready to drop in a sierra.
It all fits both 2wd and 4wd anyway, and Graceland ran a 2.0 16v turbo XR4x4 very successfully (kept with a Lexus GS300 OK anyway - and went ROUND corners )
