I have had to do this twice on my car.

i removed the old handle and undone the bottom clips for the cable

twist the metal ends of the cable out of their mounting point

twist the top part of the cable a half turn to dislodge it from the mount (at top of seat.)

tie a length of string to both end os the cable and pull out from the top

tie the string onto the new cable and pull back down

as halfords says refitting is the reversal of removal.

to engage the cable into the handle, i think i just closed the handle down and lifted it back up and it was located in place.

all in it should take no more than15 - 30 mins at most
At the min the handle isnt attached. Its the part in the picture that is broken that holds the actually handle. The cable is still fine. I cant seem to get the plastic part in the picture removed?
