Bought an S reg Escort Van today, but the thread where the roof aerial has snapped off preventing me fitting a new antenna.

How do i remove the aerial mount from the roof? I've removed the cover thats in place of the interior light and removed a funny looking locking ring, but nothing else will come off

Do i need to drill the center of the mount out?
