Only differences i have found out in the past week is that the 2.0 uses stronger rods and the block itself is stronger allowing the conversion to chuck loads of abuse at it. The 1.8 is also very sufficient for the job in hand. Thats what Im having done to mine within the next few days

the 1.8 and the 2.0 silver top blocks are the same mate

the 2.0 is boared out version of a 1.8 so less metal = less strenth its not rocket sicence

the rods same agan im afrayed the 1.8 and the 2.0 shair the same rods
i must add tho the standard 2.0 block will take 500bhp with out any problems
