Default Drilling Holes in the airbox

I have been reading fastford today and it says you can drill the airbox to allow more air through the filter thus increasing the power output, only fractionally but all the same increasing it.

I have a ST170 and have decided to install a K&N panel filter instead of an induction kit. This is because of the heatsoak effect the ST suffers from. I have also installed the v2 air deflector thus allowing more cold air directly down the snorkel.

Will drilling the air box allow more air theough and increase power or is it not worth the time to do......any help?

Cheers
