Its definately not all about massive power, Im in the middle of buying another cossy at the moment but my last saph was running 330/350 and was spot on! Still a very quick car,can have lots of fun with it and have confidence its not going to go pop! Never had any problems with mine (apart from niggly bits!!)

Keep at it with the build mate!! It'll be well worth it!!!
