Hahaha 1950's England, that is about right. My missus Dad said there was lots of corrugated tin in the UK in 70's and it all dissappeared, said he got out here and realised where it had gone!!!
Houses here are a huge step backwards, I live in Dunedin and the wether is fucking shit, easily as bad as Glasgow. Yet houses don't have double glazing or central heating, they seem to think they live in a lovely warm climate. When it rains or is cold in work I get "Bet it feels like Scotland?", I reply "Don't know who you think you are fucking kidding, it's like fucking Dunedin!!".
