the problem we have is that our network dynamically assigns IP address on the fly, where the unix server needs the IP address to remain static to recocnise it as a terminal through Xwindows.
The unix box just needs to do a reverse lookup of the client IP, configure your dns server to add a reverse lookup zone for your network and it'll work fine using host name resolution
