Definitely sounds like a wiring problem from your description... I had an air fuel gauge fitted to an old car and when the blowers were on 1, 2 or 3 the gauge worked perfectly but when I switched to top setting 4 the gauge cut out. I assumed that I'd wired it to the temperature control as setting 4 was the windscreen one and it automatically went to high heat when that was activated.

Offtopic a wee bit, but thats pretty low oil pressure... do Cossies run that level normally?? My Scoob will see 7bar+ from a cold start, levelling out to about 6bar when driving up to temperature and warm idle will sit around 2bar.
