Thanks for the info,ill have a look at it over the weekend.I have the Hanes manual and have been looking at it and found the thing you are talking about the real name is the auxiliary air device.So once ive taken the thing out and tested it like you said if it is closed when ive taken it out of the frezzer then bassically this could be my problem with the idling when started from cold. Can you still purchase these from Fords and would you have any idea how much it would cost? The other thing does it look like its kind of round in shape and have you had this problem before if so was thisaux air device the cause CHEERS Oh i was just thinking once ive removed the device from the inlet manifold is the valve visible or do i need to open it up.?
