My selling advice, 10 day auctions starting on Thursday and ending Sunday afternoon or evening are a good all-round bet and good value in terms of listing fees. Lots of bored people on Sunday sitting on their comps. Note that almost ALL eBay free listing days are on Thursdays, this is for a reason!

Reserves now cost a lot more on eBay than they used to so I tend to avoid them. For items that sell very easily and reliably, "currency" items, like PC RAM, I start the items at £0.01 and let things develop. For items of high value or items that aren't easy "currency" items, I start the items at the lowest I would accept for them.

Remember also, some listing upgrades are bad value, depending on the value of the item. Watch those listing fees.
