Guys,

I am looking at options, I currently have a mk5 XR3i 130bhp as a track car. I chose this because of the MTX75 and the good(ish) standard brake setup - disks all round. After reading the write up in Fast Ford it would seem the RS Turbo is more tuneable than I first thought!

My concern is that the CVH turbo engine won't take the abuse as well as the zetec in the '3i. The XR3i may not be all that quick but the zetec is very reliable and my opinion is that it will take the punishment better than a CVH. Am I right in thinking this or am I way off, will a moderately tuned CVH with an IB5 gearbox take the abuse?
