ive had the pleasure of an air bag exploding in my face!
I was in my mums old (ie dead ) mk5 escort HOOOONNNING it overtaking a car.. unfortunately there was something coming the otherway about as stupidly quick as i was going! KABOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM the mk4 escort i hit dint have a chance!
he wasnt wearing his seatbelt and obviously didnt have an air bag!
he pushed the windscreen out with his wrist, smashed his knee cap and twatted his head on the steering wheel, which was the only thing stopping him from getting a nasty case of gravel rash as it had bent that far upwards it was only 2 inches from the roof!
my mums car was a little worse for wear.. engine had moved back and BOTH front doors were jammed shut.. (had to climb ou the back door got oil on me new jeans too from the sump that had split! )
i HAD been wearing my seatbelt.. and the airbag had gone off.. i was 100% ok.. didnt even go to hospital.. nothing hurt apart from a bruise on my knee.
If i hadnt of hit the bag i would of been a fucking LOT worse i am sure of that cos i hit the fookin car propper hard!
The airbag was MINT and surprisingly BIG!
