Its not that i didnt like it, just i think my expectations were to high after years of dreaming of owning an escort cossie.
They are a lot of money for not a lot of car.
Driving home today there was a smokestone 4x4 sapp following me at a safe distance, and it put a biggest smile on my face. again id love to own one of these, but i wouldnt want the "cossie" ownership that goes with them.
I very nearly went and bought a very tidy, unmolested 4x4 smokestone sapp 2 weeks ago, but like you i have a soft spot of the old banngers.
Thing with the rsi its not trying to be anything, it has a pedigree and people accept it for what it is, with a cossie its all about MORE power, MORE money, MORE speed etc.
I even stopped looking at S1 RST's, for the same reason
That why i went for the rsi, it is what it is, and no one expects more from it!
