I had an on going problem for months, changed spark plugs etc and still no joy. I ended up swapping out the ign amp, phase sensor and then crank sensor one by one. It turned out to be the crank sensor. It looked fine from the outside but once i took it off the car you could feel it had gone solid and brittle. Once changed problem cured.
