Right after stweing last night and then sleeping on it, im going to call the chap this morning and go to look at the car (its only 45 mins away)
The car looked ok in the pics, hes been honest and highlighted a few bad bits on the car, so at least he didnt advertise it as mint
Im going to go with an open mind and view the car totally on the basis of its condition and value in sum of parts. I will make a low but reasonable offer and see what happens.
He has said the off side front wing is a pattern part, so im assuming this is where the damage was, so will have a good look at the innerwings and sus it out.
The car is Cat C in 1999, damaged but repariable, insured chose to write it off and pay a settelemnt claim.
Like i said at the start and others have also stated, over half of rs cars have some sort of bad past, and thats just the ones which have been recorded.
I think i just need to get over my high standards and get my head round the fact that as long as the car is straight and had been repaired safley and profesionaly then its only the stigma of the bad hpi that is the problem with the car.
We will see!
