Default WHAT is wrong with these people!!!!!!?????

Im currently looking for a certain model of Rs car to buy.

The last 4 i have been intrested have been a waste of time. All look nice in the pics, and one of the first question i ask is

"is the car hpi clear"

normall followed with a reply like

"i dont know mate, but your welcome to do one"

So i hpi it and guess what

either

Stolen/ recovered
Cat C write off/repairable
Stolen VRM

The last car i hpi'd about 10 mins ago, was Cat C, i text the seller to tell him the bad news and the reply

"well its up to you mate"

FFS so you blantently knew it was a cat c, not even a "oh im so shocked i did not know that" or a "sorry".

I know there is nothing legally wrong with the cars, but i am looking for an hpi clear example as im buying the car as long term investment.

Ive now 'waisted' £60 in the last week on poxy week alone in HPI's

I know there is nothing i can do about it, but it simply F's me off. Fair enough if the seller is genuinly unaware. But the guys ive delt with have blantenly known all along but still try and get away with charging Hpi clear prices!

I really think there should be some sort data base set up, for fellow enthuiasts. I have a whole list here of about 6-7 cars all hpi unclear. and that info is now gone to waste. And my hard earned down the drain.

I know legally and morally its never gona happen as it would be open to sabbotage. But im just so annoyed with it all.

It seems every car i look at is hpi unclear and the seller is well aware of the fact but plays the 'ignorance' card
